The Empathy Box© is a card-based tool for having and facilitating group conversations that build trust and connection. Its structure, rules and format were designed to create a safe space for sharing, listening and responding with empathy as a group.
Version 2.5 of The Empathy Box© comes with 10 sets of Response Cards, which means that you can facilitate a session for up to 9 people (excluding yourself).
In Empathy Box© Version 2.5, we've improved the clarity, quality & value of knowledge in the Box, making it more straightforward to host your first session. Bonus: We also added a new Welcome Card and filmed a high-quality Introduction Video for new users!
The Empathy Box© ships to almost every country globally. The one exception, it seems, is Isreal – find out more in the "Shipping & Refunds" tab!
The price includes standard global shipping for free. However, as of 1st Dec 2020, customers will be responsible for their respective country's duty, tax & handling fees.
What does this mean? The price that you pay on our website, for any item, covers international shipping by default. However, due to the varying tax laws by country and percentage (VAT, GST, etc), we are unable to include taxes in our prices. So, if your country's customs require that you pay fees (for duty, tax or handling), you will be responsible for paying them.

We work closely with FedEx to ensure the Empathy Box© arrives safely at your doorstep. Depending on where you are in the world, it can take between 2–15 working days.
No, you do not need to be trained to use The Empathy Box©! It was designed to be as simple and straightforward to use as possible, with lots of guidance (User Manual, step-by-step instructions, etc). However, if you do not have experience with facilitation, you might find all the different components a bit overwhelming at first... but take it from us, it gets easier with practice :)
Every version of the Empathy Box© is rigorously iterated and locally produced in Malaysia. We are a small team that's passionate about providing the highest quality of knowledge and care, so each Box is made and handpacked with love.
Honestly? We have no idea! We love researching, testing and collecting your feedback... so when we've done enough to warrant a new iteration, we'll let you know ;)

In each Empathy Box©, we’ve included: [1] a deck of 78 color-coded conversation cards, [2] Response Cards Cheat Sheet, [3] Welcome Card with Introduction Video, [4] User Manual, [5] customization materials (a Sharpie and blank cards).
Great question! We find it's helpful to think of The Empathy Box© as a group ritual of sorts. It helps to get everyone in the right headspace, so take your time to set up the cards and make sure you have at least an hour of uninterrupted time. If you see the need for emotional connection in a group, it's a good time for the Box!
You do not need to be certified for your own personal use with family, friends or colleagues. The Empathy Box© is designed to be culturally agnostic across all backgrounds, as long as the participants can speak and understand English. Some stats to back this up: The first iteration of the Box was tested with 80 nationalities from 5 continents; it is currently in 30+ countries; and it has been successfully used as a relationship building tool in multiple international contexts!
The Empathy Box© is an ever-evolving, physical manifestation of our past six years of work in the field of Empathy, Conversations and Relationships. The full breakdown of what you're paying for is on the pie chart above.
All of our materials are sourced, printed and manufactured locally in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where we're based :)
For now, the Empathy Box© is only available in English.

Yes! Please specify “Pick Up” in the “Additional Notes” section during checkout, with your ideal TIME and DATE for PICK-UP. UPDATE: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, pick-ups are not advisable for the safety of all. We will coordinate with you to Lalamove your Box instead :)

However, if it is a public-facing conference (with >50 pax), or a private training or programme (where The Empathy Box© comprises 50% of the module), please do reach out!
